The huge hit show ‘Empire’ has so many fans that the soundtrack debuted at #1. TV show soundtracks almost never have such success. The last time this happened is when ‘Glee’ debuted at #1 in 2010. Come to think of it, the TV shows have a totally opposite vibe but same formula. A great TV drama with musical numbers mixed in.
Now Madonna’s new album ‘Rebel Heart’ came out the same week but only debuted at #2 because of Empire’s success. That never happens!!! Madonna is almost always #1 in debut week. The last time she wasn’t #1 with an album debut was 1998’s ‘Ray Of Light’. Madge has had 8 #1 album debuts, 5 #2 debuts and a handful of others in top 10.
So what does Madonna do when she sees something so powerful it can snatch her #1 spot?? She gets someone from that album to be in her next video. Terrence Howard will star in her new video for ‘Ghosttown’.
Terrence is one damn sexy dude and we hope she get him to take some clothes off so we can see what he looks like shirtless!
